This is a hundred percent hand-painted version of Renoir's Two Sisters on the Terrace. The original size is 30" X 40" acrylic on canvas, painted by husband and wife, Cyril and Lorna Maza. The original painting has been sold to an art collector in Houston, Texas.
Year 2012, my husband and I went to Michael's department store to buy something for our gallery. When we finished shopping, we moved forward to the cashier to pay. Upon waiting and standing in line with the other customers, Cyril and I were talking, suddenly, a lady behind me was asking if we're doing paintings, and i replied yes. I took the 4G cellphone of Cyril in his hand and showed to the lady our paintings. She said nice and beautiful. Then she showed me also her painting from her cellphone, and i said to her, it's beautiful too. We paid the cashier and then we went out, rushing to go home, to do other painting. Lorna graduated from Saint Louis University in the Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in banking and Finance. She has also taken a basic programming course in Systems Technology Institute (STI) Philippines. She also underwent trainings and schooling in the Philippines, as well as abroad. Lorna and her husband had no formal art training and had never attended any painting classes, other than their art classes in elementary and high school. They taught themselves how to paint and have developed their own styles and techniques. Lorna had been a very active student, during her school days.
